Sun Valley Festival 2019
Everything is ready for Sun Valley Festival! Malvaglia (Ticino, Switzerland) will again host three days of pure fun and music for all tastes. Special guests of this edition will be The Baseballs, DJ Antoine, Paddy and The Rats, Mike Candys, Dr. Peaock and Che Sudaka.
Sun Valley Festival takes place in the wonderful and green Malvaglia, offering an amazing location for all people who love nature, relaxing or more simply the company of some friends, in an environment far from roads and hazards. During the event a real village will be set up, with the Magic Sun Arena (Main Stage), the Circus Stage, the Lounge-Relax area, various spots used for concerts and refreshments, the camping area and much more.
On the evening of Friday, 7th June the Hungarians Paddy and The Rats will make a stop at Sun Valley during their tour to bring their mix of Irish Rock and Punk. They will be accompanied by The Rumpled, an Italian band with an Irish sound as well and Vomitors, who are one of the more famous bands in the territory. At the end of the concerts, as usual,the DJs will take over the rest of the night: DJ Antoine, the Swiss DJ par excellence will make everyone dance with his world hits like Ma Cherie and Welcome to St. Tropez.
For all those who are not satisfied and need to feel low and high BPM the Circus Stage will host Dr. Peacock, famous dutch Frenchcore DJ - reputed number one in his field.
On Saturday, June 8th we will have two great international bands: Electric Swing Circus, a formidable English electro swing band that will make it impossible for anyone to remain still and not dance; and the Che Sudaka, from Barcelona. Theirs is a mix between ska and punk and brought them to stages like the Sziget Festival. They also have collaborated with artists like Manu Chao. The opening of the evening will be entrusted to Los Fuocos, an Italian rock band. After the concerts there will be the Asilo Beach Show, full of shows as well as music, now destined to become a tradition. Then it will be the turn of We The Savages and the beautiful and very young Margot.
For the first time The Circus Stage will host the metal evening, which will see as guests following bands from Ticino: Soulline, Kupid's Kurse and Redraw - all three active and acclaimed in the local scene.
The last evening of this memorable edition of Sun Valley Festival will have as guests The Baseballs, a German band that has become very famous thanks to their rock'n'roll cover of famous radio hits (from Rihanna to Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears and more). Before them Matthew Lee will play, already a guest of the 2017 edition and one of the greatest exponents of rock'n'roll in Italy. A great comeback will follow: Mike Candys, an important Swiss DJ who, two years ago, literally unleashed the entire valley.
The Circus Stage will host the hip hop evening, with guests Stokka & MadBuddy and DJ Shocca. Also on site: Mistaman, accompanied by Frank Siciliano, who has recently released his new album. Before them Mattak & Funky Nano, aka Poche Spanne, probably the most promising hip hop project ever seen in Ticino.
In addition to concerts over the 3 days, many alternative activities are planned. On Saturdays there will be the Grill & Gas day, tailored for motor and grill lovers. On Sunday the Blenio's Valley will still host the important event totally dedicated to children and families: Bimbinfesta. Furthermore, Rete Tre will be present and will participate with live radio broadcasts. Even food and drinks will not be missed, in addition to the well-stocked grill run by Asilo Beach, on site food trucks and Wine & Whiskey bar will be present.
For those who want to get the most out of the festival experience we strongly recommend the purchase of the 3 DAYS PASS, available only in advance, inviting them to the beautiful free camping area completely surrounded by greenery, where you can take part in activities such as beach volleyball, football, walks through the beautiful trails in the area and much more.
Finally, we underline that there will be ample parking just 3 a minute walk away from the event, special transports during the night for the return to Bellinzona, Faido and Olivone; and a taxi service at favorable prices and the Nez Rouge service.
In short, there is nothing left to do but to buy the pre-sales (directly at the nearest Post Office or from the comfort of your home online) and prepare camping tents! As we like to say:
